Carrow is a wonderful talent. The writing is rich and colorful. I was struck by the beauty, precision, and originality of her descriptive ability. In addition to a thrilling procedural, she paints a compelling portrait of a town, a society, and a culture.

Michael Elias, author of You Can Go Home Now

About Kate

Kate Carrow is the pen name for screenwriter and BAFTA winning film producer Kate Robbins. A native of Los Angeles, she studied theatre at LACC and NYU/Tisch. She worked for several years as a stockbroker specializing in institutional preferred stock – doesn’t everybody do that after studying theatre? Then she did a one-eighty and took up screenwriting, winning a fellowship sponsored by Universal Studios and Stephen Spielberg. After working for several years as a screenwriter, she partnered with Suzanne Lyons to produce seven feature films, including the BAFTA winning funeral home comedy, Undertaking Betty.

She resides on the east coast with her husband and a very naughty poodle. Duffy Dies is her debut novel.
